A majority of focus groups of Black voters in North Carolina agreed that the economy is “terrible” and don’t think President Biden is doing enough to address the problem, according to an article published Thursday. He says he’s not sure.

“These voters almost universally criticized Biden as ‘stale,’ bemoaned the administration’s lack of follow-through, and questioned his political strength.” NBC News report.

The newspaper revealed that groups who have not yet decided to vote view former President Trump negatively, saying, “They primarily use words like “lunatic” and “con artist,” and even darker terms to describe Trump. “I appreciate it,” he said.

A majority of focus group members agreed that Biden’s economy is hurting.

NBC News reports, “Ten of the 14 focus group participants lamented that the economy is in dire straits, struggling to make ends meet with rising prices at grocery stores, rising costs of living, and large student loan debts.” “I was doing it,” he revealed. “And these voters broadly criticized the Biden administration’s lack of a track record, even when presented with the administration’s own messaging, such as a White House fact sheet touting its record of helping Black Americans.”

“I don’t think Biden is doing anything to make living more affordable,” Carolyn G., 76, said of the economy.

“I think this is all political nonsense,” said another voter, Julius C., of the White House’s fact sheet listing accomplishments on the economy. “People are hurting.”

“I’m confident the numbers are statistically accurate, but they weren’t statistically significant,” said voter Michael G. “If it was a significant change in these areas, it would be obvious. We could all see it and feel it in our daily lives.”

“We’ll all know people who were struggling to get a home who were able to get a home, and we’ll help people move from being on the edge to living a better life. You would have seen conditions change,” Michael said.

“Donald Trump hasn’t convinced them, and many are wondering what a second term for Donald Trump will mean,” said Margaret Talev of the Syracuse University Institute for Democracy, Journalism, and Civil Rights. I am deeply concerned about this,” he said during the panel discussion. “But they are very vague about Biden’s next term, and if Biden doesn’t do more to change his mind, they may leave it alone.”

“The truth is, I won’t vote for Trump, so if I don’t want to vote for Biden either, my choice is not to vote,” Shariya L. said.

“Right now, I don’t have a preference. If I were to vote today, I probably wouldn’t vote,” she added.
