Joe Rogan loses it over leftist push to rebrand pedophilia as another identity: ‘For what reason?’

The famous host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” recently spoke with Manhattan Institute fellow Christopher Ruffo about the ongoing culture wars over race and gender that have turned America’s homes, schools and human resources departments into battlegrounds. We had a conversation.

Rufo and Logan touched on a variety of issues;
tuesday episodeThe organizers’ most vitriolic comments, such as the harmfulness of DEI practices and the left’s tactical misrepresentation of Florida’s Parental Rights Act in Education, are driven by a desire to prey on and destroy evil, especially children. It was about recent efforts by Democrats and other leftists to normalize a kind of evil. Innocence.

Earlier in the podcast, the two discussed the importance of moral structures and well-enforced rules in society.

Logan suggested that if deviant behavior is left unchecked, “everything goes out the window.” This prompted Rufo to look back on his time living in Seattle.

The conservative activist said that when she walks her son to the city’s Democratic-run kindergarten, she “avoids people with schizophrenia, avoids tents, avoids people who shoot people, avoids people who just sit on the street. There is a need.”

Rufo said that when he raised his concerns with city officials, he was told, “Oh, well, we have to have compassion for our homeless neighbors,” but his response to that is clear: said, “No, we’re not this.” It’s dangerous for children. ”

Logan agreed with Rufo that there should be “reasonable limits” to compassion and tolerance for bad behavior, but he came up with the term “houseless.”

“I love words like ‘houseless’. I mean, you already have a word for it. Well, stop dressing it up with a new word,” Logan said.

Mr. Logan then highlighted another euphemism he encountered that was used to hide an equally harsh reality.

“This is what’s been driving me crazy lately: ‘People who are attracted to minors,'” Logan said. “I saw two politicians in two different speeches talking about protecting ‘people who are attracted to minors’. You’re talking about pedophiles.”

“That’s what we’re talking about,” Rufo admitted.

Democratic state senator Karen Berg of Kentucky used the term last week during a committee hearing on a bill that would make it a felony to possess a sex doll resembling a child.

“There are people who are attracted to minors, what they call ‘MAPS,’ but the limited amount that has been done with these dolls,” Berg appears to say in a video of the hearing. Research suggests that for minors, these dolls actually reduce the tendency of people to go out and attack children. ”

Although the term was popularized in some left-wing circles, there was resistance in the alphabet community.

center square shown In 2020, a then-new movement using the term “persons attracted to minors” or “persons attracted to non-criminal minors” ultimately normalized pedophilia. It turned out that it was an initiative. This apparently caused concern among those in the gay community who wanted to ensure that the so-called MAPS flag was not flown at LGBT parades.

There appears to be continued support for the term and corresponding efforts on college campuses.

Sociology professor Allyn Walker wrote a book that normalizes pedophilia, “The Long Dark Shadow: People Attracted to Minors and Their Quest for Dignity,” published by the University of California Press. In the face of significant backlash against the book and related research, Walker said:
finally narrowed down Graduated from Old Dominion University in Virginia in 2021.

But the dismissal revealed an ideological contagion within the academy.newsweek
revealed Sixty professors in mental health, human sexuality, and other fields defended Walker’s work, calling it “important and groundbreaking” scholarship.

“I bet these guys don’t have kids,” Logan told Rufo. “They must be. I don’t know. If they are, they’re monsters. They’re trying to minimize the damage caused by evil criminals who take children’s lives and ruin their lives forever.” And then you just call them “people who are attracted to minors” and try to say that’s an identity…for what reason?”

Rufo said efforts to normalize child sexual perversion appear to be coupled with efforts to silence criticism.

“Let’s take a closer look at something that has been advertised at length, such as the Drag Queen Story Hour. Let’s break it down to the basic facts: These are adult men who dress up as women and interact with other people’s children. “I dance and perform for them.” Rufo. “That should be a red flag for people, but… they’re glossing over it with this word, this euphemism, as you’re talking about. It’s a very, very soft-sounding word. [like] Tolerance, inclusion. ”

“But you’re actually hiding from people the fact that, no, this is kind of offensive,” the conservative activist continued.

Rufo pointed out that most people understand what is going on, but many remain silent due to the threat of being branded as “bigots.”
