An arrest warrant has been issued naming former Republican House candidate Dan Rodimer as a suspect in the murder.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced On Wednesday, Rodimer, 45, was identified as a suspect in a suspicious death that is currently being investigated as a homicide that occurred on the Las Vegas Strip on October 29, 2023.
Rodimer won three Nevada Republican primaries in 2020.rd Congressional District. In the general election, he lost to Representative Susie Lee (D-Nevada) by less than 13,000 votes.Rodimer supported By former President Trump.
He is a lawyer and former professional wrestler. In the primary, Rodimer defeated his closest primary opponent by more than 15 percentage points.
Las Vegas police announced that homicide detectives are investigating the suspicious death of 47-year-old Christopher Tapp. Police said medical personnel responded to a call about a man with injuries that were “alleged to be due to an accident.”
Tapp was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the release.
The Homicide Division became aware of the circumstances of the suspicious death on November 22, 2023, and began an investigation.
An arrest warrant dated March 6, 2024 was issued for Rodimer “on suspicion of open murder.”
The Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled Tapp’s death a homicide due to blunt force head trauma, police said.
by Las Vegas Review Journal, Rodimer flies into town to get a warrant. The warrant asks him to post bail in the amount of $200,000.
The paper cited a police report that said the fight between Rodimer and Tapp occurred when Tapp provided cocaine to Rodimer’s stepdaughter during a party at Resorts World. Rodimdar reportedly told Tapp, “If you ever talk to her daughter again, I will kill you.” Witnesses told police they heard two loud bangs and saw Rodimer hit Tap.
Tapp, an Idaho resident, was convicted of the rape and murder of an 18-year-old girl and spent 21 years in prison. He was released in 2017 and his innocence was determined in 2019, the newspaper said.
