Trump backtracks on statement that Georgia polls are rigged because now he is ‘winning by so much’

At a rally in Rome, Georgia, on Saturday, former President Trump walked back previous statements that the state’s polls were rigged because he is currently “winning by a wide margin.”

The former president reformed by visiting the Peach State and joining 18 other defendants in a conspiracy to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state. The Fulton County case is currently underway, but has been stalled by an alleged romance between the district attorney and a senior prosecutor.

During Saturday’s “Get Out the Vote” rally, Trump, the likely Republican nominee for this November’s election, claimed that the 2020 results were fraudulent, while also denying his current lead in the polls. He made comments such as praising him.

He began his speech by saying that his strong performance in Georgia during his successful 2016 presidential campaign and even better performance in 2020 was fraudulent.

President Trump then began saying, “All the polls are rigged.” But he later recanted, saying, “Of course, I haven’t been fixing matches lately, because I’m winning by a huge margin.”

He suddenly said, “Please ignore that statement. I really love polls.”

According to The Hill/Decision Desk Headquarters, President Trump is leading President Biden at the national level. Currently, Mr. Biden’s approval rating is 46.1% and 44.6% for Mr. Biden.

Trump has an even bigger lead in Georgia, one of the key battleground states that helped propel Biden to victory in 2020. According to the poll, Mr. Trump’s approval rating in the state is 48.4%, while Mr. Biden is 41%.

Later in his speech, Mr. Trump criticized the “radical left” for rigging the previous showdown between Mr. Trump and Mr. He said it would never happen again.

He called on his supporters to vote for him in a landslide victory “too big to cheat.”

President Trump has consistently claimed that polls and elections are rigged against him and that any poor performance is fraudulent. He has yet to acknowledge the accuracy of the 2020 election results, losing both Georgia and the general election to Biden.
