Jets players to watch
Darnell Mooney, WR
The Jets swooped on Allen Lazard early in free agency last year and look how that worked out.
GM Joe Douglas may be reluctant to pay big money for Calvin Ridley, the No. 1 receiver currently available. Mooney should make less than $10 million per season.
He hasn’t put up big numbers since gaining 1,055 receiving yards in 2021, but the Bears’ offense has been terrible.
He’s the type of deep threat that can open up offensive opportunities.
Damian Lewis, G
The Jets will likely be looking for bargains in the guard market, where top players may be overpaid.
Lewis has improved in recent years with the Seahawks, playing over 900 snaps in three of his four seasons.
He allowed just three sacks last year.
John Simpson, G.

Simpson played more than 1,000 snaps last year, allowing just one sack and 26 total pressures.
He’s a potential steal in the second wave of free agency.
