Candace Owens: Media Is Trying to Divide Christians with Fixation on Christian Nationalism

A prominent political commentator says Hollywood and the media are trying to divide the church over debates over Christian nationalism, calling on believers to pray for each other and “unite in faith.”

Candace Owens wrote: column Writing in the Daily Wire this week, she claimed that Christianity has been “vilified, slandered, attacked” and “presented in the same breath as white supremacy.”She mentioned a new documentary related to Rob Reiner. god and country Major media coverage of Christian nationalism, including PBS, NPR, The New York Times, and Axios. The title of the PBS article is “What is Christian Nationalism and Why It Raises Concerns About Threats to Democracy.”

“When you think about the myriad problems that our country faces today, what you really worry about is that there may be some Christians who love our country. A church-nationalist,” she wrote sarcastically. “When you look at drug dealers, illegal immigrants, crime rates, gang violence, etc., you would think that Christians are the ones we should be afraid of. That is a stupid idea.

“I believe this is yet another attempt to divide and brainwash Christians, something that has been going on for decades,” she wrote.

Owens said that decades ago, “the Bible was taught in classrooms across America, and teachers and students prayed in schools.”

“Then a lawsuit was filed and everything disappeared from the 1960s,” she wrote. “Since then, there has been a concerted effort to divide Christians and shame them about their religion. That push continues to intensify. It’s something that’s happening again in the conversation.”

Hollywood is “even going after Justin Bieber” over the issue, she claimed.

“As we all know, Bieber was young and innocent when he appeared on the scene, so he could very well have fallen victim to the evils of the industry,” she wrote. “Sure, he went through a period of heavy partying, but in 2018 he married Hailey Baldwin and his world completely changed. He shed his reputation as a party animal, changed his lifestyle, and joined the church. This is not the kind of story that was and still is commonly circulated in Hollywood. Hollywood has never been a fan of Christianity, so church-going people are definitely not tolerated within the industry. not.”

Bieber’s pastor, Victor Marx, posted on social media: “Christians please pray for Justin and Hailey for wisdom and protection, and that they will draw closer to the Lord. People in the spotlight are often called ‘spiritual.’ Because we face a ‘battle’.” . Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, then “shared the post, which sparked more questions in the comments section,” Hailey wrote.

“He has since deleted the post. I don’t know the details, but it’s clear that some kind of spiritual warfare is going on,” Owens wrote. “It seems like every time we get a glimpse of the truth, forces unite and more evil ensues. I can’t imagine the pressures Justin faces, especially as he strengthens his relationship with God over the years.” There is no doubt that the evils he has experienced and witnessed in the industry weigh even more heavily on his mind.”

Owens called on Christians to pray for and support each other.

“So for those of you who are going through this type of conflict, please know that if you are ready to share the truth, Christians will be on your side. is there with you,” she wrote. “We pray for you and for the whole world. Moreover, non-Christians will thank you, even if they are silent. For if Christians are considered evil, then something very Because we know that evil things are happening. Let’s look out for one another, pray for one another, and encourage one another. If we are united in faith, we can conquer more evil together than we can alone. Sho.”
