Yesterday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against a large real estate development northeast of Houston known as Colony Ridge.
Colony Ridge owner John Harris “built a vast community northeast of Houston on a foundation of false, misleading, and deceptive sales, marketing, and financing practices,” according to the complaint.
“Colony Ridge’s business model is premised on wooing land buyers through foreclosure mills. That is, Colony Ridge uses the promise of cheap, ready-to-build land and financing without proof of income to attract credit. “Target foreign-born and Hispanic consumers who have limited or no access to the Internet,” the lawsuit alleges.
Paxton’s lawsuit will likely wake up many people across the state, and even the nation, to the clear crisis at Colony Ridge, but Blaze Media has known the truth for a long time.
