Trump: ‘I’d love to get along’ with the media

Former President Trump said Sunday that he wants to make peace with the media to resolve a longstanding feud with the prominent network, but only if the media covers him fairly.

In an interview with Fox News’ Media Buzz’s Howard, President Trump said, “I want to be friends with them, and if they’re going to be right in the middle and report what needs to be reported, I’d love to do that.” Ta. Mr. Kurtz on Sunday.

Trump, who has long called journalists “enemies of the people,” has claimed that major news organizations are deliberately ignoring him and important news events.

“It’s not just about what they’re reporting, it’s also about what they’re not reporting,” he said. “They don’t report on things that are that important. If you turn on CBS Evening News or NBC or ABC and you turn on it, there’s nothing on very important subjects. That’s fake news. there is.”

The former president said it would be an “honour” to end attacks on “enemies of the people” only if the media “did it right”.

“They’re like the police, and frankly, if they do their job properly, they keep our country honest in a way, and they’re not doing it properly. You. have reported on it, are aware of it and know exactly what is going on,” he told Kurtz.

Trump also doubled down on longstanding complaints that some media networks treat him unfairly, particularly criticizing CNN and NBC for not delivering victory speeches at the Iowa caucuses in January.

After speaking, he said the network should be stripped of its “license or something” over the decision.

“If you are using public radio waves and there is no radio waves, “If you’re going to cover a candidate for months, cover it as negatively as possible – it could be her,” he said. “And then all of a sudden that candidate wins in a landslide, which is so exciting and everyone wants to see, and you’re not covering his speech? Unbelievable.”

“You’re going to be covering someone for a year, and this is the culmination of that. This is a big moment, and people want to see it,” he continued. “So you’re saying I won’t broadcast his speech? How can I do that?”
