Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus on Tuesday implored Republicans to do more to support former President Donald Trump as he seeks to return to the White House. Anything less would be a recipe for disaster “for the future of our democracy.”

The 94-year-old has spent many years on this earth, but he has spoken out with President Joe Biden about how the federal government is “exercising its vast powers with contempt for the people and not for the governed.” “I have never been so disappointed,” he said at the beginning. As envisioned by our founders, the consent of our rulers was obtained. ”
He made clear that his vision for the future is bleak if Democrats remain in their 80s and hold the levers of power, writing:
Fundamental changes in America are occurring not through the legislative process required by the Constitution, but through executive orders and the government’s police powers. Because of this, I fear that free market capitalism will be replaced by big government socialism. I am also concerned about the erosion of our rights and freedoms, including parental rights, freedom of speech and religion, and due process.
I have always been convinced that a president who poses a threat to democracy can be voted out of office in the next election. I’m not so confident anymore today. I’m not confident because today’s media is not the watchdog of government that the Founders intended. Rather, he is the government’s pet dog, protecting the public from the whole truth about the current administration’s policies and actions.
Marcus, renowned philanthropist and co-founder of the Job Creators Network, used the opinion piece to highlight the clear failures of the Biden administration and the fact that traditional media refuses to challenge Biden or his supporters.
He went on to attack direct policy failures, such as the porous southern border, saying, “The Biden administration’s policies have led to unvetted incursions along the southern border by millions of people and threaten our national security. They violated the law, allowed crime to spiral out of control on the streets, and forced abortions.” Class Americans have commandeered retirement benefits to put food on the table, dividing America more than any other time in history since the Civil War. Joe Biden has fulfilled Barack Obama’s promise to “transform” America. This is not a welcome change, as evidenced by Biden’s dismal job approval ratings. ”

Ultimately, Marcus said, the world sees Donald Trump as a strong leader, “someone who protected the country from new foreign conflicts” through his policies and the projection of his and America’s power. It is essential to national security that America’s enemies fear the president. ”
