The Giants need a starting cornerback.
Former All-Pro Tre’Davious White needs a new team.
And all the main characters know each other.
White, who was released by the Bills on March 8, is scheduled to meet with the Giants later this week. ESPN reported.
He visited the Rams on Tuesday and will also head to the Titans.
The Giants have an open spot across from Deonte Banks, and free agent Adoree’ Jackson’s three-year contract appears to have come to an end.
Nick McLeod, Cordale Flott and Tre Hawkins are healthy in-house options, but none of them have ever been full-time starting cornerbacks in the NFL.
White, 29, was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in 2018 and ’19 when Giants general manager Joe Schon and head coach Brian Daboll held him in a junior role in Buffalo.
But since then, he suffered a torn ACL (2021) and a torn Achilles tendon (2023), causing him to miss 30 of the Bills’ last 40 regular season games.

White was scheduled to make $8.35 million in salary and bonuses before being cut by Buffalo.
The Giants only have about $2.5 million in salary cap space, according to NFLPA records, so whether he reunites with Schoen and Daboll could depend on his offer.
