On Tuesday, his ex-girlfriend began legal action against actor Jonathan Majors, filing civil claims of assault, battery, defamation and infliction of emotional distress.
As reported by Breitbart News, the move comes three months after the actor was found guilty in a criminal trial of assault in New York City.
Majors, 34, maintained his innocence throughout.

Grace Jabari, a 31-year-old British dancer, has filed a new lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan, alleging escalating physical and verbal abuse from Major between 2021 and 2023.
“Grace Jabari’s resolve has never wavered,” her attorney, Brittany Henderson, said in an email to The Associated Press. report.
“She has shown great courage in pursuing accountability. This action will shine a light on the truth and bring her the final determination and justice she deserves.”

A Manhattan jury in December convicted him of one count of misdemeanor assault and one count of harassment stemming from a confrontation with Jabari the previous March.
He was also acquitted of separate assault and aggravated harassment charges. Sentencing is scheduled for April 8th.
Majors’ criminal lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said in an emailed statement that the lawsuit is “not surprising.” Mr. Majors is preparing a countersuit against Mr. Jabari. ” She did not elaborate.
The lawsuit also alleges that Majors lied in media interviews that he had never abused Jabari and filed a criminal complaint alleging that he was the victim in the incident that led to his arrest. He has been charged with indictment.
