Fitness Guru Richard Simmons Reveals Skin Cancer Diagnosis After Posting Cryptic Online Message

Fitness guru Richard Simmons, known for his eccentric, flamboyant and energetic personality, revealed in a lengthy statement that he has been diagnosed with skin cancer.

“Mirror on the wall, what’s with such a small scratch,” Simmons, 75, said in a Facebook post. “I had a weird bump under my right eye. I had a tube of Neosporin and applied it in the morning and in the evening… It was still there. It was time to call the dermatologist. I did.”

“I sat in his chair and he looked at it through a magnifying glass. He said I needed to rub it and put it under the microscope,” he continued. “I’m getting a little nervous now. He came back about 20 minutes later and said the C-word. [referring to cancer]”

Nevertheless, Simmons tried to lighten the mood with humor, explaining that she had told her doctor to “stop calling.” [him] When he was told he had been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, he said, “That’s a dirty name.”

“I have to go to an oncologist right away,” Simmons wrote. “But now that we’re here, we’re going to put some Botox on his forehead wrinkles and laugh lines, and make his cheeks plump.” I patted his hand and said, “Today… “No, sir,” he said. ”

“After driving around the city, I saw some sad news. I couldn’t give it my all,” he continued. “He burned my face again. This time it was worse than the last time… even deeper. This time I didn’t cry, but I gritted my teeth.”

Simmons followed up with fans on Wednesday, saying a dermatologist confirmed that “all the cancer cells were removed.”

“Promise me you’ll see a doctor and get a thorough checkup,” he continued.

The news from Simmons comes after the fitness guru caused concern to fans over a post he shared about his death.

“I have something to let you know. Please don’t be sad. I…I’m dying,” he wrote in a post this Monday. “Oh, I can now see your face. The truth is that we are all dead. We are closer to death every day we live.”

“Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to make the most of every day,” he continued. “Wake up in the morning, look up at the sky…count your blessings and enjoy them.”

She then said, “If you have time, I want you to listen to a great song: “Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw. Live for today and remember to pray. I love you, Richard. ”

After the post received significant attention online, Simmons apologized and clarified his comments. “I’m sorry, but I think there are many people who were offended by my message today. The media has also contacted me. I will not die,” he said.

“It was a message about how we should embrace each day that we’re living,” he added. “Sorry for the confusion.”
