Although CRT began as a Marxist academic concept, it is now taught as an unquestionable set of values rather than an abstract theory. Conservative groups oppose CRT as a racist and divisive ideology, and believe that eradicating CRT principles that have permeated the federal government and takes precedence over proper stewardship of taxpayers. , has made clear in its budget its belief that it is the key to restoring “sanity” to the federal government. federal budget.

“Decades of reckless spending habits in Washington have forced Americans to foot the bill with high inflation and rising prices,” Klein told Breitbart News. “We cannot continue down this irresponsible path. I can’t keep going,” he said. “The RSC budget is a responsible, common sense approach that strengthens the American economy, lowers inflation, cuts wasteful spending, and reverses harmful, regressive, wasteful, and unnecessary policies that are destroying hard-working families. “It is long past time for Washington to restore fiscal responsibility, cut spending, and balance the federal budget to get the country back on track.”

To combat CRT, this budget devalues diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, skills and competencies in the hiring process, and divides Americans along racial, ethnic, and socio-economic status lines. Targeting similar race-based efforts.

The budget also includes Rep. Julia Letlow’s (R-Louisiana) Parent Bill of Rights to provide parents with greater curriculum transparency. The House passed the bill last year, but the Senate has not yet considered it. The bill “aims to increase transparency and accountability in education, providing parents with information and the ability to legally turn to their local school board with questions or concerns.” Letlow said at the time of the bill’s passage.

Bills addressing CRT included in the RSC’s budget include:

  • RSC Hearn’s Work Not Wake Act. It would defund existing divisive diversity training in the federal government, particularly training conducted through several executive orders related to equity.
  • Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.)’s Go Wake, Go Broke Act would eliminate the Treasury Department’s Racial Equity Advisory Council and force companies to hire and invest based on radical CRT ideology. will be used to force decision-making. .
  • Rep. Burgess Owens’ (R-Utah) bill refuses to comply with President Trump’s executive order prohibiting federal agencies from teaching, advocating, acting on, or promoting CRT in agency training. It is forbidden to do so.
  • Mr. Owens introduced a resolution expressing the House’s view that CRT should not be taught in K-12 classrooms.
  • Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC)’s fight against racist training in military law. This prohibits the military and military academies from promoting his CRT.
  • Congressman Chip Roy’s (R-Texas) “Combating Racially Separate Education (CRT) in Schools Act” is a federal law that protects elementary, secondary, and higher education institutions that promote racist ideologies like CRT. This prohibits the investment of funds.
  • Bishop’s CRT Stopping Law. It prohibits federal funds from being awarded to organizations promoting CRT.
  • HR 3046, by Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), would prohibit federal military academies from providing training or education under the CRT.
  • Rep. Vicki Hartzler (R-Missouri) introduced a bill to ban cathode ray tubes in the Military Kids Act, which would prohibit the teaching of cathode ray tubes in schools operated by the Department of Defense.
  • Lelow’s Parents’ Bill of Rights would, among other things, make the curriculum, including all the books and reading material available in libraries, publicly available to help parents better stand up against CRT television and other harmful topics being taught to their children. It requires school districts to post on the website. .
  • Former RSC Chairman Jim Banks (R-IN) DEI Salary Cap Act of 2023. This restricts the Department of Defense from appointing personnel to her DEI position at a rank or grade higher than her E-5 or GS-5.

The RSC’s budget announcement comes as Congress is scheduled to finalize spending for fiscal year 2024, nearly six months after the fiscal year began. The President announced his fiscal year 2025 budget a few days ago, and Congress is expected to begin debating the fiscal year 2025 budget and spending measures in the coming weeks.
