$464M Judgment ‘Still Stands’ Against Trump

A spokeswoman for New York State Attorney General Letitia James’ office responded to Monday’s court ruling by saying the $464 million judgment against former President Donald Trump “remains in effect.”

A five-member New York Court of Appeals ruled that Trump could post a bond “worth $175 million” to cover the sentence. The court also delayed enforcement of the $464 million judgment by 10 days.

The statement continued: “Donald Trump remains held accountable for his extraordinary misconduct.” “The court has already found that he engaged in a long-standing fraud to unfairly inflate his net worth and unfairly enrich himself, his family, and his organization.”

The court’s decision on Monday, which came on a day when courts do not normally issue decisions, was seen as a “significant” and “unexpected” victory for President Trump, establishment media reported.
