Newly released footage shows the moment a passenger leans out of a car window and fires a gun during the drive-by shooting that killed a 43-year-old mother on a Las Vegas street.
Kevin Perez Stubbs, 16, allegedly shot and killed Shauna McCowan, an innocent bystander and mother of one, in April 2023 after being caught in the crossfire with a friend.
When she was shot, she was walking with a friend and her dog on the same sidewalk as the two teens Perez Stubbs allegedly fired at, police documents say. According to KLAS.

“I think sometimes people don’t realize the magnitude of their actions,” the victim’s sister, Autumn McCowan, told the station.
Four teenagers were charged with murder after the incident.
Mesarius Finch, 17, Jonathan Perez Stubbs, 19, and their brother Kevin Perez Stubbs, 16, were arrested last year and the youngest suspect was identified as the shooter. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Earlier this year, 19-year-old Tishan Tillman was arrested and charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit murder. This was announced by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
Police said Tillman was the driver, and Jonathan Perez Stubbs and Finch were passengers in the car.
Mr. Tillman, Mr. Finch and Jonathan Perez Stubbs all took plea deals, but further information was not released because their records were sealed, KLAS reported.
The trial of Kevin Perez Stubbs, charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder, is reportedly scheduled for June.
