On NBC’s “MTP Now” Thursday, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) said, “Prices are still going up. So there’s kind of a general malaise hanging over the president. But egg prices have been going up because of the bird flu and a number of things that have happened, and the president is obsessed with that.
“I think what’s starting to happen is that at this point, this is kind of a referendum on the frustration that people are feeling,” Walz said. “And I think the American economy is doing better than any other country. But prices are still going up. So there’s a kind of malaise with the president. But once the choice is clear, all the positive things that have been done Once you start moving in that direction, it will become obvious.”
He added, “[W]It’s almost Easter weekend and I saw a report about egg prices.Now, the price of eggs. [is] The president is obsessed with it, mainly because of the bird flu and some of the things that happened.But I think you’re starting to show people what’s come before. [happening], job creation. And let me be clear: none of these things come close to what a former president could say. And I think once inflation pressures start to come down to some degree, we’ll start to hear more stories about what the inflation pressures are like and people will come back. ”
