Illegal migrants who rushed National Guard soldiers in El Paso learn America is a land of laws

Law enforcement officials in Texas have arrested dozens of immigrants suspected of being involved in a mob that raided the National Guard.

Last Thursday, a group of angry migrants breached a razor wire fence in El Paso and raided a group of National Guard troops. The group of migrants had been camping on the banks of the Rio Grande for several days, and authorities were sorting them into groups for processing.

At one point tensions escalated and a shocking scene was caught on camera.

After the incident, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) vowed to “arrest all illegal immigrants involved.” Texas officials are now making good on that promise.

according to to new york post, Texas authorities have arrested more than 70 immigrants suspected of being involved in the incident. They are charged with misdemeanor riot. In addition, officials who spoke to the paper said Texas authorities have identified more than 200 other immigrants believed to have been involved in the incident, but federal immigration authorities have not been cooperative.

“These people were willing to attack the military,” a National Guard official told the Post. “They were willing to attack law enforcement. They have a complete disregard for our laws.”

The arrest came days after Texas authorities 9 immigrants arrested on suspicion of involvement in a mob and assault on a National Guard member.

One such immigrant is 21-year-old Honduran Junior Evaristo Benitez. He is being held in the El Paso County Jail. facing the charge of Includes assault on a public servant, a felony.

Court documents say Hayden Alexander Baugh, a member of the Texas Army National Guard, was standing in front of the group when he was pushed to the ground. Baugh told DPS investigators that Benitez repeatedly stomped on his knee “intentionally and maliciously.”

Texas after the incident deployed additional soldiers and law enforcement officials were dispatched to the El Paso area.
