Trump’s national press secretary, Caroline Leavitt, called it “appalling and insulting” that Biden “officially declared Easter Sunday ‘Transgender Visibility Day.'”
Levitt said the president’s announcement is an example of the Biden administration’s “long-standing assault on the Christian faith.”

Levitt said the Biden administration’s move comes after the White House banned religious egg designs at Easter art events.
The art contest is part of the White House’s Easter traditions, including the annual Easter Egg Roll.
The contest flyer states that Easter egg design submissions “must not contain questionable content, religious symbolism, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements.”

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson shared a screenshot of the White House statement and wrote next to it, “What a slap in the face to all Christians in America…”
