President Joe Biden is raising eyebrows after claiming he hasn’t signed a proclamation honoring Transgender Day of Visibility.
At the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, reporters asked Biden to respond to criticism from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R). who was to blame Biden has made the “outrageous and abhorrent” decision to celebrate Transgender Visibility Day with a public proclamation on March 31, 2024, the exact same day as Easter.
Surprisingly, Biden responded by claiming that he had made no such declaration.
“He’s a total clueless,” Biden said of Johnson, according to the pool report. “I didn’t do that.”
But Biden did just that on Friday.declaration declared:
Accordingly, I, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby declare me, March 31, 2024, to be transgender. Visualization day. I call on all Americans to join us in elevating the lives and voices of transgender people across our country and working toward ending violence and discrimination based on gender identity.
