Thieves steal $30M in cash on Easter Sunday in one of largest heists in Los Angeles history

On Easter Sunday, a group of robbers broke into a Los Angeles cash storage facility and made off with up to $30 million in cash. This is believed to be one of the largest robberies in the city’s history.

The robbery is believed to have taken place at the GardaWorld facility in Sylmar, a suburban area in the San Fernando Valley. FOX11 Los Angeles report.

The robbers are believed to have entered the facility through the side or roof of the building before breaking into the safe without raising an alarm.

The company didn’t discover the large-scale theft until an employee opened the safe on Monday, but local broadcasters reported there were no obvious signs of a break-in.
