Caught on camera: Crowd of illegal immigrants cut razor wire, rush across border into Texas

Shocking new video from the southern border shows crowds of migrants cutting razor wire installed in Texas and rushing through in an attempt to cross into the United States, with some getting caught in the wire and others being run over by Texas troops. Some people are pushed back.

A video taken this week in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, which borders El Paso, Texas, shows migrants standing in front of a concertina wire set up by the state of Texas. When it is cut, a crowd pours in through the gaps in the wire.

Another video shows one of the minors becoming entangled in power lines, screaming in pain, before being freed by an attending adult.

At one point, Texas troops intervened and pushed the migrants back.

“Go back, go back, go back, go back,” a soldier shouted at them. “Get out of here.”

At one point, the sound of a Taser can be heard, but the location is unknown. The migrants can be heard yelling at the guards in response.

The video shows Texas installing razor wire and other barriers along the border as part of Operation Lone Star to curb the historic amount of illegal immigration that has hit the state since 2021. It was released as part of the ongoing situation along the border. .

Razor wire is a point of contention between Texas and the Biden administration. Texas sued the administration after federal authorities cut power lines to arrest immigrants who were technically already in the United States.

Earlier this year, Texas seized Shelby Park, a key transit point in Eagle Pass, but Border Patrol said it was denied access to the area.

The administration then sued the state of Texas over an anti-illegal immigration bill that would allow local police to arrest illegal immigrants and judges to order their deportation. The Biden administration argues that Texas’ actions impede federal enforcement, while arguing that Texas needs to act in response to federal inaction on the border crisis.

As the standoff continues, Eagle Pass has seen a number of break-ins, including one last month when a large group broke through razor wire. Texas authorities have since charged hundreds of people with rioting and several others with assault and trespassing.

CBP increased patrols in the area after the March 21 incident and stressed that those involved could be removed.

“There are consequences for illegally crossing the border, and CBP continues to enforce U.S. immigration laws. Individuals and families without a legal basis to be in the U.S. are subject to deportation and are unable to apply for re-entry. There will be a grace period of at least five years.” If they re-enter the country without authorization, they may face criminal prosecution. No one should believe the lies of smugglers. Families will be excluded,” they said.

Meanwhile, Texas Governor Greg Abbott continues to call attention to continued efforts to secure the Texas portion of the border. “Shut down the wires,” the Republican posted to X earlier this week, captioning a video showing more power lines being installed in El Paso.
