CNN anchor Jim Acosta insists it’s just a fact that former President Trump is declaring himself a “greater threat to American democracy” than President Biden.
In an interview published Friday by Mediaite, Mr. Acosta said this week that independent presidential candidate Robert F. He was asked to respond to Kennedy Jr.’s remarks. This is based on his administration’s behind-the-scenes actions to help censor speech on social media platforms through closed-door communications with Big Tech giants.
“Obviously, that’s a lie.” Acosta responded.. “And that’s not taking Joe Biden’s point of view here, and it’s not taking the Democratic Party’s point of view here. The executive editor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, who published an op-ed last weekend, said, You can’t compare these two presidents and say, “Well, they’re both an equal threat to American democracy.” You can’t just say what Robert F. Kennedy said and claim that Joe Biden poses a greater threat to American democracy. So it’s just a mistake, obviously a mistake. If you have a bias or a bias about something, just say it’s not a fact. ”

Acosta visited the White House on January 6 as a correspondent for CNN, citing Trump’s “failure to take action during the attack on the Capitol” and the nonresponse of then-President Trump. He recalled reporting on how administration officials were telling Trump that they were resigning.
“This is one of the darkest days I have ever witnessed in my news reporting career,” Acosta told Mediaite. “I never expected to see the President of the United States just sitting there and doing nothing while people stormed into the Capitol and claimed they wanted to hang the Vice President. That episode itself was a 2020 The very effort of the president to overturn the constitution of Georgia, the Georgia election, the call to the Georgia Secretary of State, and everything else that’s going on, the alternating slate of electors, I mean, I could go on and on about this. I could go on, but objectively speaking, based on facts, and only stating what you did that day. By speaking without any bias or bias, he poses a greater threat to American democracy than Joe Biden. ”
“So this is just looking at the facts of the matter. It’s not like somebody comes in and says, ‘Here’s my view.’ It’s just looking at the facts,” Acosta added. Ta.
