Chaos erupted in a courtroom in Brazil when a man entered a courtroom with a handgun and fired at a man on trial for the murder of his father. After extracting all the bullets, he continued to hit the victim with the weapon before fleeing on foot, dramatic new footage shows.

According to The Sun newspaper, De Moura was arrested in Salgueiro, northern Brazil, on October 5, 2012, after he was wanted for the shooting death of Telt’s father, Francisco Alves. De Moura reportedly shot Alves in self-defense after he caught him searching for a stray donkey on a farm in Lagoa Alexandre, taunted him with a “dirty little thief” and lunged at him with a stick. De Moura claims Alves failed to heed two warning shots before finally firing. The man was shot in the abdomen and died 18 days later at the hospital, according to the report.
