ICE arrests Venezuelan illegal migrants released without bail after assault on NYPD at Target

On Wednesday, about a week after the crew members were charged, ICE arrested Venezuelan nationals Michael Jose Sanchez Mayo, 31, Henry Omar Zambrano Zapata, 19, and Yusneibi Yohana Machado. Avila, 23, was picked up by Sebastian Jaramiglio Balanta, 22, from Colombia. They raided stores on the Upper East Side.

An ICE spokesperson told Fox News, “All four illegally present noncitizens were arrested without incident for violating their DHS release conditions and are being held pending release processing.”

ICE also filed a detention request for another illegal immigrant held at Rikers, Venezuelan Brayan Fretes Macias, 21, the only one of the five who was not released. .

Fretes Macias pushed one of the officers who was trying to handcuff him and yelled in Spanish to his female accomplice, Machado Avila, to flee the scene, according to a criminal complaint.

Machado Avila then placed himself between Fretes Macias and the officer and then struck the officer in the head with his hand, the complaint says.

When the struggle spilled onto the sidewalk in front of the target, another suspect, who was still at large, threw a rock at responding officers, but missed, according to the complaint.

Machado Avila and Fretes Macias were both charged with robbery, assault, resisting arrest, obstruction of public administration, possession of stolen property, disorderly conduct and harassment, the New York Post reported.

Machado Avila was released on supervised release without bail despite prosecutors’ request for $10,000 bail, prosecutors told FOX News Digital.

Prosecutors asked that Fraites Macias be held on $10,000 bail or $30,000 bail, and Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Jay Wiener ordered him held on $3,000 bail or $9,000 bail.

The remaining three were charged with robbery and disorderly conduct.
