Gonzalez said there were at least three victims in the case, including 15-, 16- and 17-year-old boys who were said to have run away from home. He said he believed Mr. Grigsby “helped his son” while he was still in prison.

“Grigsby appears to have recruited troubled boys from local high schools by offering them hotels and other places to stay,” Gonzalez said. “Additional teenage victims have come forward and testified that Grigsby attempted to recruit them while they were in school.”

authorities Said Click2Houston reported that Grigsby allegedly operated a “prostitution business” with her son. Investigators said they found text messages between Grigsby, her son, and her son and three minors discussing payments for “prostitution fees,” according to the report.

“They say Grigsby paid for at least one hotel room, and as officers were inside that room investigating, one of the victims came in and ran out to find Grigsby. got into the car,” the report continues.

Gonzalez said Grigsby was booked into the Harris County Jail. On Tuesday, she waived her court appearance, but her bail was set at $750,000, $125,000 for each sex trafficking and forced prostitution charge.

“Prosecutors say they expect more victims to come forward and more charges to be filed,” the report states.

Klein ISD officials told the outlet via email that Grigsby was hired for the 2019-2020 school year and “passed the state background check at the time.” The school district said she was “released from her teaching position” after the sheriff’s office notified her of her impending arrest. The school district notified her parents in a letter later the same day, according to reports. The letter said:

As soon as we were made aware of this information, the school district took immediate action, arrested Mr. Grigsby and immediately placed him on administrative leave. Klein ISD does not intend to return this individual to Klein Cain or Klein ISD schools and will report this person to all appropriate authorities upon completion of the investigation.

Klein Cain High School Public Relations Officer Said Daily Mail: “Let me be clear: any act that harms children is deplorable and we are taking a number of law enforcement steps to ensure those involved in such acts are brought to justice. We will always cooperate fully with our partners.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) commented on the incident, using the arrest as an argument in favor of school choice.

“The actions of some educators are criminal and disgusting. No child should be forced by the state to attend a school like this,” Abbott said in a post on X. . I’m working to elect state legislators who will change that. ”

The Daily Mail reports that Grigsby’s “About Me” page in her curriculum states that she has more than 17 years of experience in the beauty industry.

“Developing people and watching them soar is my passion. I’m here to help you achieve any goal and break through any barriers,” Grigsby said.
