‘Arizona Women Will Die’ Under State Abortion Ban

Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-Ariz.) told ABC’s “The View” Friday that a reinstated abortion ban from 1864 would kill women in her state.

“This is absolutely outrageous and how crazy that a law passed by 27 men in 1864 is now controlling the lives of millions of Arizona women,” Hobbs said. “We can talk about what it is, but what I want to talk about is the impact it will have.” We’re going to have to do with women in our state. ”

She went on to say, “I myself have had a miscarriage and lost a pregnancy through miscarriage. The treatment is a procedure that is also an abortion, and that is the common treatment, but for such a terrible disease… How outrageous would that be?” he added. Is it because it will become a crime if the doctor can’t treat you? ”

Hobbs added, “They need to repeal this law. It’s the right thing to do for Arizonans. We know that Arizona women will die under this ban, so they should repeal this law. We need to get it all together and simply repeal the ban.”

She concluded: “I’m pretty disgusted with how Donald Trump is cleaning up the mess in Arizona. This is really nothing but political opportunism by the people who wanted this to happen. This is Roe v. Wade. That’s what they wanted to reverse.”
