House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) said on “Sunday Morning Futures” this week that former President Donald Trump supports him “100 percent.”
Host Maria Bartiromo asked, “Former President Trump talked about the possibility of turning aid to Ukraine into loans. Are you considering that?”
Johnson said, “Yeah. You know, I had a great visit with him on Friday, and he and I are 100 percent united on these big topics.”
“Marjorie Taylor Greene is angry that Republicans still haven’t secured the border and is threatening to file an eviction motion,” Bartiromo said.
She asked, “Have you spoken privately with President Trump about what Marjorie Taylor Greene is doing?”
Johnson said: “I spent many hours with the president on Friday. He and I speak often, many times, usually multiple times a week. We have a long relationship. He is 100 percent… I’m with you. And he said, “I’m going to get this done.” It’s a distraction. What Marjorie did in her eviction motion does not help our party or our mission to save our country. Because unless we increase our House majority, maintain our House majority, win the Senate, and get President Trump back in the White House, we will lose our republic. ”
