Ryan Gosling talks about the influence his family has had on his life.
In a recent interview, men’s health In the May/June 2024 issue, Gosling said that when he thinks about what will be important to him in the future, he thinks about “what will be important to him on his deathbed.” The actor admitted that “it’s always best to return to his family.”

Gosling also told the magazine that it was “obviously” that his wife Eva Mendes was his “hero.”
The two met in 2011 on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, where they played a married couple raising a son in dangerous conditions. It is unclear if the two ever married, but during their 13-year relationship they had two daughters, Esmeralda (9 years old) and Amada (7 years old).
Although they are notoriously private, a source recently gave insight into their relationship, saying: people magazine Why did the couple decide to move their children from Los Angeles? “Ryan and Eva are loving their lives,” a source said, adding that all they want is “a happy life for their daughters.”

They moved out of L.A. to live a little further north, away from Hollywood. They want their daughters to grow up surrounded by other celebrity kids. I didn’t want that.”
Mendes spoke a little bit about their relationship in a recent interview with Today, revealing that she decided to take a break from acting after becoming a mother, a decision she said was “natural.”

When it was announced that Gosling had been nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Ken in Barbie, Mendes took to Instagram to congratulate Gosling on his accomplishments, while also attacking Gosling’s haters.
In January 2024, Mendes wrote on Instagram: “I’m so proud of my husband. There was so much hate when he took this role. So many people hate him for doing something like this. Despite the #NotMyKen ridicule and articles written about him, he created this completely original, hilarious, heartbreaking, and now iconic character and won an Oscar. I’m proud to be Ken’s Barbie because I brought it all the way to the awards.”
