California Subway manager, Monique Larios, attacked by customer, George Sandoval, over extra ham

He wanted a knuckle sandwich.

A Subway customer refused to put extra meat in his sandwich and violently assaulted a group of employees, forcing the store’s manager to fire him due to the risk of permanent injury.

General Manager Monique Larios was at the Madera, California store on May 1 after an employee got into an argument with a customer over the amount of ham in a sandwich.

The customer, identified as George Sandoval, claimed he paid twice as much meat as was already on the submarine. According to KFSN.

Sandoval said he asked the employee to add 12 hams to the sandwich instead of the six additional hams that Sandoval had paid the store for, but Sandoval said he had proof of the exact order. I argued and argued.

As Sandoval began his attack, a quick-thinking customer rushed to the employee’s aid and pulled the assailant away from the woman.

The good Samaritan jumped on Mr. Sandoval’s back and punched him in the face at least three times, allowing the employees to flee to safety behind the counter.

Mr. Sandoval was arrested later that day and charged with assault.

The Madera Police Department condemned Mr. Sandoval’s actions toward the workers.

“Never. I think they went behind the counter and punched the female manager,” said Madera Police Sgt. Brent Cederquist.

Larios claimed that his injuries have forced him to miss more than a week of work since the attack, straining his family’s finances.

“I have been out of work for over a week. I am a single mother and rely on every paycheck to survive,” she said. I wrote on GoFundMe. “I can’t work because my eyes are swollen shut and I can’t drive. I hate asking for help, but I’m behind on my bills so I have no other choice.

“I’m scared. I still can’t feel half of my face,” Larios told the magazine. “There could be some permanent damage. I’ve never been so paralyzed that my face felt like a mask.”

Larios plans to press charges against the attackers, accusing them of allowing the situation to turn violent instead of calmly communicating with them.
