Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has accused his Senate opponent, Democratic candidate Rep. Colin Allred (Texas), of supporting anti-Israel and anti-Semitic demonstrations at universities across the country. They accused the government of receiving financial support from the same powerful family that exists in the country.
Between April 18 and May 3, police arrested or detained more than 2,200 people on at least 49 university campuses during protests in 26 states.
“These protests are being funded by Joe Biden and the big donors to the Democratic Party,” Cruz said in an interview on Fox News Digital, adding that Allred’s donors, the Soros family, Rockefeller, etc. The family, the Pritzker family and the Gates family have also provided funding in the past or present, he said. It has ties to organizations that support demonstrations against Israel.
