“I was quite shocked, I think we all were. It’s scary to think about the final stretch of this race in this peaceful, green environment. It’s a scary thing to do,” Fred Ackerman told the magazine.

Ackerman said no one was able to locate the alleged shooter, even though there were dozens of people at the teen’s sporting event.
“No one saw the shooter,” he said. “There were dozens of people, some on boats, some walking around on the road. Police don’t know where the shots came from, but they do know it was a gun.”
