Barron Trump declines participating as a Florida delegate for RNC this summer

Barron Trump, 18, the son of former President Trump and former first lady Melania Trump, has declined to attend the Republican National Convention as a Florida delegate.

A spokesperson for Melania Trump’s office said in a statement to Fox News that President Trump “regrettably declined” to select delegates.

“Mr. Barron is honored to have been selected as a representative for the Republican Party of Florida, but due to prior commitments, he regrettably declines to participate,” the statement said.

The Republican National Convention is scheduled for July 15th to 18th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
