The Mexican government provided buses and trucks for hundreds of migrants who have been traveling in Mexico for more than a month. The migrant caravan’s destination is Mexico’s northern border.
In the latest chapter in the ongoing migrant caravan, the state government of Oaxaca has provided several buses and trucks to transport migrants north to Puebla. Government officials also provided the migrants with a state sports arena where they could rest before continuing their journey. According to Mexico’s La Jornada newspaper, authorities provided the migrants with 10 buses and five pickup trucks to continue their journey.
Mexican news outlets claim the caravan has been traveling for more than a month since leaving Mexico’s southern border. The group traveled on foot through the states of Chiapas and Oaxaca, moving from city to city where government authorities provided various places to sleep and rest.

As Breitbart Texas reported, while the migrants’ ultimate goal is to reach the U.S.-Mexico border, they are first trying to reach Mexico City, where they can board commercial buses or In some cases, you can even take a plane to reach one of the cities. Several cities across the border are experiencing a surge in immigration. Mexican authorities grant most migrants travel permits that allow them to move freely within the country for a limited period of time.
The ongoing issue with the migrant caravan has led to accusations that the Mexican government is using migrants as a means to pressure the U.S. government into funding several projects of Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador. It happened when it happened. Migrants have claimed in recent weeks that INM agents are rounding up migrants and sending them back to Mexico’s southern border, where they must restart their journey.
