Valerie Bertinelli It’s staying out of the spotlight, at least for now.
On Friday, the actress and former Food Network star announced plans to take a break from social media due to mental and emotional exhaustion and urged her followers not to “worry.”
“The last 6 weeks or so… have been really tough,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a selfie. “And while I’m incredibly grateful for your support of my book and all the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet, this introvert in extrovert clothes needs a mental health break. I need it.”

“I know, I know, this isn’t an airport so I don’t have to announce my departure. I just know that some people will worry about me if I don’t post often enough.” she continued. “But I’m fine with it. Honestly, it’s good to have a little social media cleanse, detox and take a mental health break, and I’m fully aware of when in my life I’m grateful to be in a state of awareness.” I feel overwhelmed and mentally/emotionally exhausted. ”
“Everyone please be careful,” she concluded. “I’ll be back before you know it.”

The hiatus comes nearly a month after Bertinelli introduced her new boyfriend, Mike Goodnow, on social media.

Bertinelli and Goodnow are in a long-distance relationship, with Goodnow living on the East Coast as a writer and Bertinelli living on the West Coast in Los Angeles.

‘Hot in Cleveland’ actress opens up about herself for the first time was in a new relationship March. However, she kept his name a secret. The two announced their relationship on social media on April 20, with Bertinelli posting a photo of them together with the caption, “I drink according to your opinion. I got high smoking your jokes all night.” I posted a photo.
“It’s unlike any relationship I’ve ever had with a man,” she told USA Today in March, explaining that she “didn’t expect” to be in a relationship again after her divorce from Tom Vitale.
Prior to her marriage to Vitale, the “One Day at a Time” actress was married to musician Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007.

After that, her journey to find true love took time.
“I want to be clear that this process has taken a long time,” she told People magazine last month. “I started being more intentional about my healing, and that meant taking lots of walks together.” [my dog] Luna, it’s been a lot of therapy sessions and a lot of learning, but I deserve to feel better. ”

“I have to work first.” she continued. “Why I thought I didn’t deserve to be loved. Why I was using food to numb my emotions. All the drama I couldn’t handle about Ed and her last marriage. trauma.”
