Shocking surveillance footage captured the moment a madman smashed a Queens bike shop employee over the head with a helmet, before another man intervened and stabbed the employee, police said.

According to authorities, the incident began just before 1 p.m. Monday when a 35-year-old man became enraged outside the Fly E-Bike store on 42nd Street near Broadway in Astoria.

Footage obtained by The Washington Post shows the attacker appearing to yell at the 28-year-old worker before suddenly hitting him over the head with his helmet.

The 35-year-old man was in a rage outside a Fly E-Bike store on 42nd Street near Broadway in Astoria.

The video shows another man running out of the store a second later and chasing the attacker out onto the street.

Police said someone inside the store stabbed the helmeted suspect in the abdomen, though it was not immediately clear if that was the man seen chasing the suspect.

Despite his injuries, the first assailant was seen on video smashing his helmet into the store window.

Police say he was stabbed by another man who intervened.

Authorities said police responded to the scene and found the disoriented man biting one of the officers’ hands as they tried to handcuff him.

The video shows officers struggling to get the man to put his hands behind his back and then a struggle that ends with him wrestling on the floor.
