Sean Kingston Released From Jail With Strict Restrictions

Sean Kingston took to social media on Wednesday to celebrate his release after being arrested and extradited on fraud charges, but his freedom remains severely restricted.

Kingston was taken into custody in California on May 23 after his Florida home was searched. The “Beautiful Girls” singer posted a message on Instagram after his release, thanking his legal team and loyal fans for supporting him through his legal troubles.

Kingston was released from Broward County Jail on $100,000 bail secured by a mortgage. TMZHe was also forced to surrender his passport and firearms, the media reported.

“It’s great to be home!!! Special thanks to God, my family, friends and my legal team… Robert Rosenblatt, James Stark, Mark Gallegos, Zelica Bozanic and Pierre Porras,” Kingston wrote on her Instagram page. “And I can’t forget my amazing fans. Thank you all for your love and support! I love you all!”

According to TMZ, several of Kingston’s fans posted encouraging comments, including his mother, Janice Turner, who was arrested on fraud charges.

Prosecutors allege that Kingston and his mother defrauded several businesses out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, including a $500,000 loan to a jeweler, more than $200,000 to Bank of America, $160,000 to a car dealer for an Escalade, more than $100,000 to First Republic Bank and $86,000 to a custom bed manufacturer. According to TMZ, authorities also filed paperwork demanding the famed singer pay local taxpayers $5,268.53 in extradition costs from California to Florida.
