British actor Russell Brand says Americans who value freedom and democracy should vote for former President Donald Trump in November.
“If you have a choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, if you value democracy, if you value freedom, I don’t know what you can do other than vote for Donald Trump for the very reasons that they claim to be,” he said in the latest episode of the podcast, an excerpt of which can be watched below. Obtained From Fox News.
Russell Brand was interviewing Republican National Committee spokesperson Elizabeth Pipko when the conversation turned to Trump and the election.
“They’re acting as if voting for Donald Trump is the same as voting directly for Armageddon, as if they’re watching the hysterical performances outside the courtroom or the endless rants on MSNBC,” Brand said.
“But I’m beginning to think that’s not the case. The bigger threat to democracy is this kind of techno-feudalism that claims to care about people and protect the vulnerable while at the same time increasing censorship, increasing war funding, and widening the divide among ordinary Americans.”
Brand also criticized the Biden administration for using the legal system as a weapon against political opponents.
“Elizabeth, I have long been concerned by the snobbism, contempt and vilification that supporters of Donald Trump apparently receive from his critics,” Bland said, “and the administration has copied Trump’s policies and plagiarized from him, while at the same time weaponizing the legal system to portray him as a criminal.”
The actor has experienced political retribution first-hand.
Brand has come under attack from the #MeToo cancel movement after his videos critical of the mainstream media, Big Pharma and the military-industrial complex attracted a large online following. Numerous women have accused him of rape and other sexual misconduct, leading British police to launch a sexual assault investigation.
The actor denied the charges.
After YouTube demonetized his content, Brand said he would primarily post his content on Rumble.
