Biden admin officials, Mark Cuban, and more to attend crypto roundtable hosted by Rep. Ro Khanna: Bitcoin Magazine – The Block

Billionaire Mark Cuban believes cryptocurrencies will play a key role in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, and it appears the Biden administration has listened to his concerns and those of other crypto advocates.

According to a new report from Bitcoin Magazine, Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna, who represents one of the wealthiest districts in the United States in California’s Silicon Valley, is planning to host a roundtable discussion on cryptocurrency policy “in early July” with Biden administration officials, along with billionaire businessman Mark Cuban and other members of the House and Senate.

The discussion centers on how to preserve “Bitcoin and blockchain innovation in the United States.” According to the report:The report did not say who else besides Senators Cana and Cuban was scheduled to attend the roundtable.

Rep. Khanna is known as a pro-crypto politician and recently voiced his support for the House-passed FIT21 bill, which would give the CFTC new jurisdiction over “digital products” and establish a regulatory framework for the SEC. “The White House should… support it,” he said. Pro-crypto billionaire Mark Cuban has spoken directly to the Biden administration on crypto policy in recent weeks, recently speculating that Biden’s stance on crypto could prevent him from winning the November election. “Biden has said multiple times that he has to choose a side. “To further secure America’s future and provide opportunity for our young people, I’m going to end Joe Biden’s crypto wars and ensure that the future of crypto and the future of Bitcoin is made in America,” Trump said. “We’re going to keep it here in Florida, and a lot of it is going to be made here in Florida,” the former president said. President Trump also reportedly voiced his support for Bitcoin mining in the United States during a recent meeting with representatives from Bitcoin mining companies at Mar-a-Lago.“I’m a big fan of bitcoin and happened to meet some guys in Georgia, Mississippi and Wyoming who liked what CleanSpark was doing,” said S.
