Judge Judy Criticizes Bragg for ‘Nonsense’ Trump Trial

Reality TV Court Judge Judy Sheindlin criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for using “taxpayer money” to prosecute former President Donald Trump instead of focusing on “criminals” in New York City.

During the period interview CNN’s Chris Wallace: Sheindlin told her Judge Judy Bragg, who has been on the show for 25 seasons, said he would be “much happier” if the host focused his attention on “catching the criminals who are making it impossible for our citizens to walk our streets or ride the subway” rather than pursuing Trump’s “nonsense.”

On May 30, a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty of first-degree falsifying business records regarding payments made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“As a Manhattan property owner, I would much rather see the New York County District Attorney take down the criminals who are making it impossible for citizens to walk the streets and ride the subway and work to keep them off the streets, rather than spending $5 million or $10 million of taxpayer money trying Donald Trump for this nonsense,” Sheindlin explained.

“But as a taxpayer in this country, I am outraged that this system would be exploited for personal gain,” Sheindlin continued.

When asked by Wallace if Sheindlin thought that was what Bragg had done in Manhattan, Sheindlin acknowledged that he did.

“It took some brain-wracking to figure out what the crime was,” Sheindlin said, adding that Bragg dislikes Trump.

As Breitbart News previously reported, the former president was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records, normally considered a misdemeanor, but the statute of limitations had expired.

Bragg ultimately “charged the case as a felony, alleging that the alleged falsification of business records was undertaken to cover up federal crimes,” even though “the former president had never been convicted of such a crime.”

“I think he was a good businessman, a good real estate agent,” Sheindlin said when asked what he thought of the former president. “And he certainly was a good businessman. apprentice” she said.

When asked what he thought about President Trump, Sheindlin said he felt Trump should never have been president, adding that he didn’t think Trump “thought he’d become president.”
