Former Gay and Transgender Christian Couple Renew Wedding Vows after ‘True Transformation’ from Church

A couple who once identified as gay and transgender left their previous lifestyle behind after meeting Jesus Christ and recently renewed their marriage vows. On May 30, 2020, Nick and Rex Renick were married as husband and wife and currently identify as a heterosexual couple, i.e. married couple. Face Wire I will report.

But now, Rex has reclaimed her female identity and gone back to the name she was given at birth, while Nick has shed his gay identity, and they detailed their journey in a recent interview with The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles.

Mr Knowles, a professed Catholic, described the couple’s testimony as “one of the most shocking stories I’ve ever heard”.

“I think it just goes to show that anyone can transform into anything they want,” Nick told Knowles, “but no one talks about going back to who they’re meant to be.”

“The world has a lot to teach you about who you should be. They’ll try to fit you into these crazy, wacky boxes based on your interests and personality type, and then for a while, you might feel like you belong. He continued:

Meanwhile, Rex revealed that he believed the “lie.” Of the LGBT community.

The whole world of the queer community was saying, “If God made you, he made you like this.” “ She remembered hearing: “[But] This argument doesn’t work for the transgender community, because if we say, “God made me this way” That means I should have been a woman.”

Rex also admitted that he grew up in an abusive household. His alcoholic mother told Rex, “If I had known you were going to be my child, I would have had an abortion.” Rex’s mother made the comment after learning that he was struggling with his sexuality and gender identity.

Rex said every time he sought comfort or safety from his family or church, they “rejected me.” She eventually found the place she was looking for within the LGBT movement.

“I ran into this loving community, the queer community, because they accepted me as I was, not because I needed enlightenment or acceptance from the church. “I just needed loving followers and family members to hold me and say, ‘Hey, we’re going to walk this journey with you,'” she recalls. But all I faced was rejection.”

Nix, on the other hand, had identified as gay since he was a teenager, but unlike Rex, his family accepted him.

His family “didn’t try to change me,” he says. Even though they believed in God’s design for men and women.

“They did not condone or agree with what I was doing, and that is exactly the Christian model of how we should deal with our communities. He said: “We cannot simultaneously avoid, reject and accept it.”

Initially, the couple wanted to have children, even though Rex, who is both a transgender man (i.e. biologically female) and a gay man, identifies as a man.

After the transformation, they let go of their previous identities and accepted their biological reality as men and women.

They have one child together and recently announced that they are expecting a second baby.

They also found a church in Las Vegas whose leaders did not condone their LGBT lifestyle but did not reject it either. That’s when they experienced a real change.

“They chose to love us. Rex said of the church they attended, “The church was a great blessing to us because it allowed us to interact with more believers, allow God to work in our hearts, and have friends in our lives who encourage us to follow the Lord’s leading, rather than isolating Jesus or closing the door by kicking people out of the church.”

In March, the pair renewed their wedding vows for the first time as husband and wife.

“I am in awe of God’s goodness. Rex I have written “He is so amazing! I was in tears when I heard my husband say ‘I do’,” she wrote in an Instagram post. After Pastor Ivan said, “Will you take her as your bride?” I never thought I would hear such sweet words deep in my heart. I am honored to be Nick’s bride. I am honored to serve God together and build His kingdom.
