On Friday, following what many considered President Joe Biden’s terrible debate performance, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) said the key takeaway is that Biden is not running the country.
According to an Alabama senator, the so-called deep state is running the country.
“Nobody knew how bad it was going to be, but it couldn’t have been any worse for Joe Biden,” he said in an interview with FM Talk 106.5, a radio station in Mobile, Alabama. “But, Jeff, the big loser last night was the American people. The American people finally found out what’s been going on for the last three and a half, four years. Someone like Obama, Clinton, Schumer or Pelosi was running this country behind the scenes and Joe Biden was a puppet president. He’s the same as he’s ever been. It got a little worse, but it was a disaster.”
“President Trump was good at using facial expressions and staying out of the way,” Tuberville added. “The rules helped him in that he couldn’t get out of the way. But this is a sad situation. I don’t know what direction the Democrats are going to take now, but they’re in a state of panic, and the American people need to understand that the Deep State is running this country. And they’re going to continue to do that if the Democrats and the Republicans in this country keep electing them.”
