Democratic social media accounts were slammed in the comments section after claiming that President Biden won Thursday night’s presidential debate.
“The winner of tonight’s debate is,” the Democrat declared in a post from X on Thursday night after the first presidential debate, which notably included an image of a smiling President Biden in his trademark aviator sunglasses that was not from the debate.
Voters quickly took to the comments section to harshly criticize the social media post.
“Did you watch the same debate as me?” one person wrote.

“Your entire party is out of touch with reality,” another wrote. “The fact that CNN is calling Biden’s performance terrible tells us there is something seriously wrong with his performance.”
“When you lie to people you lose all credibility,” another wrote.
“That’s hilarious. Glad your sense of humor is still there,” one person wrote.

Others accused the account of “gaslighting” voters.
“This gaslighting isn’t working,” one person wrote.

“You guys are seriously trying to gaslight a lot of people into supporting Trump,” another user wrote.

After the debate, Democrats and liberal media figures were reported to be in a state of “panic” over Biden’s performance.

Speaking at his first post-debate rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday, Biden denied any plans to quit and insisted he was capable of beating Trump.
“Frankly, the dangers of this job are too great for me to do this job,” Biden said forcefully. “Donald Trump is a real threat to this country.”

President Biden also addressed his own poor performance, saying he’s “not debating as well as I used to.”
“I know how to do this job. I know how to get things done,” he told a large crowd chanting “Four more years!”

Biden has about four months left to make his case against Trump before the nation heads to the polls in November, along with the second debate, hosted by ABC News on Sept. 10.
