It’s been a tough week for former President Donald Trump.
Not only did Democrats freak out during a debate with President Joe Biden, but the Supreme Court ruled that the president has immunity when performing his “official duties.”
The ruling prompted Trump’s team to move to overturn a Manhattan conviction in which the former president was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
As a result, Trump’s sentencing hearing was postponed until September. Many conservatives saw this as a victory, but Sara Gonzalez I remain skeptical.
“Part of me wonders what else they have planned,” Gonzalez said, adding, “They’re not going to give up that easily.”
“They’re watching it all implode before their eyes, and they don’t want to look stupid, so they’re thinking, ‘Yeah, if I postpone it, maybe everyone will forget about it,'” she continues. “But I’m sure they’re desperate to figure out what to do.”
“All the bombshell statements that they thought they had are now seemingly being completely overturned,” she added.
Matthew Marsden finds it interesting that the liberal reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision has been overwhelmingly one of horror.
“It’s amazing how liberals have gone crazy and said the Supreme Court decision is about Trump,” Marsden said. “It’s just about the law. It’s just about the Constitution.”
