Trump Campaign Raises $331 Million in Year’s 2nd Quarter, Smashes Biden’s Haul

Loyal supporters of former President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House are speaking with their purse strings: The Trump campaign announced Tuesday that its fundraising in the second quarter of the year surpassed that of President Joe Biden, bringing in a reported $331 million.

AP Report That figure far exceeds the $264 million raised by Biden’s reelection campaign and the Democratic National Committee during the same period.

The fundraising gap negates Biden’s financial advantage and is unlikely to ease the fears of his supporters after last week’s disastrous presidential debate.

An Associated Press report detailed the situation as follows:

Trump’s total also includes the $111.8 million his campaign said he raised in June, less than the $127 million Biden reported raising last month, which included more than $33 million raised the day of and after the debate.

However, the Trump campaign reported a cash balance of $284.9 million at the end of the quarter, while the Biden campaign reported $240 million.

“President Trump’s campaign fundraising efforts are growing stronger with each passing day and month,” senior Trump campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles said in a statement, the outlet reported.

They noted that the incumbent’s campaign spent much more on ads but saw little net gain as Trump consolidated his support with a more focused campaign.

“This fundraising momentum will likely intensify as we watch Democrats continue their mass firing squads in the wake of Biden’s debate defeat in the run-up to the global conventions,” they added.

Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez hailed the vote total as “a testament to the President’s passionate and growing base of support.”

Her comments came the same day that Democratic donor Whitney Tilson criticized Biden for “misleading” voters about his mental state in the aftermath of his performance at Thursday’s presidential debate, Breitbart News reported.

Tilson, a Wall Street investor who donated to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election, New York Post He said he felt “misled” about Biden’s health and suggested an alternative candidate.
