Nayib Bukele’s July 4th message

As people across the United States commemorate the Fourth of July, Salvadoran President Najib Bukele noted that Salvadorans draw inspiration from the founding ideals of the United States, but not from those of modern America.

“To my fellow Americans, Happy Independence Day! We admire you, not for the ideals you hold today, but for the ideals you established in 1776 when you gained your freedom and laid the foundations of our great nation. We will follow your example. Happy Fourth of July!” President Bukele declared in his speech. post.

Lee was among many Americans who attended Bukele’s inauguration last month. Tweeted“El Salvador has just held its inauguration of President Najib Bukele. He defeated his main opponent, Manuel Flores, in the presidential election in February. As far as I know, Bukele has not tried to jail Flores.”

In another article, Lee wrote: Tweet“Thank you, President Bukele, for a delightful afternoon and enjoyable conversation. Sharon and I enjoyed every minute of our time with you, and our visit to this beautiful country.”
