At least four people and a suspect were killed in a shooting in Kentucky early Saturday morning. Fox 19 The report cited a Florence Police Department report.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. at a home on Ridgecrest Drive.

Police were called to the scene after reports of an active shooter.

At least four people were found dead at the scene, with others injured.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and was pursued by police before crashing into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike, reports said.

Police found him with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.

The Florence Police Department said there is no threat to the public at this time.
