NBA champion Glenn “Big Baby” Davis was convicted along with other players of insurance fraud in May and will serve a 40-month prison sentence.
Davis recently spoke about his expectations during his time in prison and what he hopes to accomplish during his time behind bars.

“I think I’m going to have a good time there,” the former Boston Celtics forward said. TMZ Sports On the weekend. “Learn new things and meet new people. You’ll be fine.”
He added that he has no fears about going to prison and joked about getting in shape.
“Hey ladies out there,” he added. “Write me a letter. I’m doing great in prison. Call me ‘Big Baby Jailbait’ when I get out.”

Prosecutors said Davis engaged in an insurance fraud scheme that defrauded insurance plans covering NBA players and their families out of up to $5 million. More than 20 people were convicted in the case, many of them players who submitted false dental and medical claims to the NBA Player Health Benefits Plan.
Other members convicted in the scheme included former New Jersey Nets player Terrence Williams and former Detroit Pistons guard Will Bynum.
Davis was a member of the Celtics’ 2008 NBA championship team and won a national championship with Louisiana State University in 2006.
