Democratic lawmakers are set to hold a potentially contentious meeting on Tuesday to discuss the continuation of President Joe Biden’s presidential nomination.
Biden vowed Monday to continue his campaign despite reports that nine Democratic senators were calling for him to withdraw.
“I’m so frustrated with the elites … the elites in my party,” Biden told MSNBC on Monday morning. “All the data shows that the average Democrat voted — 14 million of them voted for me — and they still want me to be the nominee.”
“We need to move forward. We have 40 days until the convention and 120 days until the election. We can’t waste any more time with distractions,” Biden said. Said According to a record of the donation made on Monday. POLITICO I got it.

Tuesday’s meeting was scheduled to take place at the Capitol. held Axios reported that the move was made at the DNC headquarters to prevent information from leaking during a potentially heated debate.
“Cell phones will not be permitted and there will be secure cell phone storage areas on-site for Members of Congress,” a notice to House Democrats told the media.
The Biden campaign has been hit with several damaging leaks about post-debate concerns about the president’s political viability.
“Tensions are rising,” one House Democratic leader told Axios.
The meeting came as several lawmakers called for Biden to refrain from running for reelection. Post-debate polls show Biden losing in key battleground states. A Suffolk University poll found that 41% of Democrats want Biden to drop out of the race, while just 51% want him to remain the candidate.

According to multiple media reports on Sunday, Reps. Jerry Nadler (New York), Mark Takano (California), Don Beyer (Virginia) and Adam Smith (Washington) became the latest Democrats to call on Biden to drop out of the race.
They join five other Democrats who previously called on Biden to withdraw from the presidential race – Reps. Lloyd Doggett (Texas), Seth Moulton (Massachusetts), Raul Grijalva (Arizona), Angie Craig (Minnesota) and Mike Quigley (Illinois).
Democratic leaders have not backed a vehement opposition to Biden, with House Speaker Hakeem Jeffries of New York and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York still appearing to support Biden.
Political experts say Democrats have no choice but to turn to Biden for three reasons: the difficulty of replacing him with 50 states on the ballot, the difficulty of putting money behind a new candidate and the difficulty of finding a potential sacrificial lamb to run in Biden’s place.
