President Joe Biden mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin.”

Biden made an embarrassing stumble while introducing Zelensky at the NATO summit on Thursday.

“And now I want to turn it over to the president of Ukraine, who is just as courageous as he is determined,” Biden said. “Ladies and gentlemen, this is President Putin. President Putin.”

The president quickly came to his senses and realized what he had done, blaming the blunder on being “too focused on beating” the Russian president.

The mistake is unlikely to go unnoticed, as it came following a series of calls from Democratic Party officials, aides and Mr Biden’s celebrity spokesmen, including actor George Clooney, for Mr Biden to drop his 2024 reelection campaign.
