Mexican National Illegally in U.S. Charged in Stabbing Deaths of Two Children in Wisconsin

BORDERTOWN, USA — Authorities in Clark County, Wisconsin, reported that a Mexican national living in the United States illegally has been charged with stabbing to death his two daughters, including the July 5 attack in which the girls’ mother was also stabbed but survived.

Officials with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office in Neillsville, Wisconsin, told Breitbart Texas that Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta is in custody for the stabbing deaths of two minors and the assault with a knife on an adult woman in the same location. Officials confirmed reports that Gomez Acosta is a Mexican national living in the US illegally.

Officers with the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department reported arresting Gomez-Acosta for the stabbing deaths of two children and a knife attack on an adult woman. Officers responded to a call of a woman having been stabbed in Abbotsford, Wisconsin on July 5. According to a statement released by the police department, Gomez-Acosta was found at a residence in the 300 block of East Oak Street in Abbotsville. After being taken into custody, officers entered the home and discovered the bodies of two minors who had allegedly been stabbed by the suspect.

ICE Officials Said Fox News reported that Gomez Acosta entered the United States through the Laredo, Texas, port of entry in September 2016. Authorities said the Mexican national had not left the United States at the time specified in his entry requirements.

Colby-Abbotsford Police Chief Alex Bowmen Said Gomez-Acosta entered the U.S. on a six-month work visa but stayed in the country after it expired, according to news reports. He has a criminal history that includes a driving while intoxicated (OWI) in another jurisdiction and a second DUI in Colby-Abbotsford.

Just the News reported:

Bowman said the case was the latest in a long line of cases of illegal immigrants committing crimes in his jurisdiction. He told Just the News that since 2020, it has been virtually impossible for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to detain illegal immigrants who have committed crimes and come into contact with local law enforcement.

“Before 2020, it was a lot easier to work with ICE and immigration, but now their hands are tied in a lot of ways,” he said. “Even for felons who we arrest for felonies and things like that, I can tell you with certainty that immigration is still not coming to get them.”

Criminal charges Published According to WQOW ABC18, police responded to the call and found a woman inside the mobile home bleeding from multiple stab wounds. Police located Gomez-Acosta in a nearby mobile home with her two daughters.

Officers surrounded the trailer and were held there for about 30 minutes before the murder suspect emerged from the home with blood on his stomach and hands. He also had a bloody knife, according to the criminal complaint. Police took Gomez-Acosta into custody and took him to the hospital in an ambulance. He had suffered stab wounds.

Police found the two children dead in a bedroom. The girls were covered in blood and cold to the touch, according to the complaint. One of the girls had been stabbed at least 20 times and had wounds on her chest, back, neck, hands and arms. The younger sister was reportedly stabbed 16 times in the chest and neck area, according to the complaint.

According to the report, Acosta-Gomez stabbed his wife approximately 17 times, her vocal cords were severed and the wound was very close to her jugular vein.

“I’m sorry,” Acosta-Gomez said after his arrest, according to the criminal complaint. Officers asked him who stabbed him eight times in the chest. He reportedly told officers, “Some crazy people stabbed me,” according to the criminal complaint.

Acosta-Gomez remains in custody on $1 million bail. He also has an immigration detention order issued by ICE and will remain in custody. If convicted of two counts of intentional homicide and attempted homicide, he could face life in prison.
